Simple Restorations

Restorations are of several kinds. In laymans terms fillings are used to fill cavities. Most of the time in our office we do bonded composite restoration to match your teeth shade.

What is Considered Basic Restorative Dental Work?

Restorative Dental Work

Restorative dentistry encompasses a range of treatments aimed at repairing or replacing missing or significantly damaged teeth. These procedures can vary from simple cavity fillings to more intricate oral surgeries performed under anesthesia. Some restorative treatments, like filling cavities, are performed directly, while others involve customized crowns to replace missing teeth.

On the other hand, preventive dental services focus on routine examinations, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and tooth sealants. These simple procedures play a crucial role in preventing long-term dental damage. In contrast, major dental services involve complex procedures such as bridgework, dental implants, and dentures, often requiring the expertise of a dental laboratory.

The following procedures are considered fundamental in restorative dental work, addressing various dental concerns and promoting oral health.
